Marlene Watkins, author of the best-selling book “Everyday Miracle of Lourdes,” was a featured speaker at the 25th Annual St. Louis Marian Conference held on May 17-19, 2024. With over 1,200 faithful in attendance, Marlene was one of the three lay speakers on the agenda, which included Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J., noted priest author, theologian and popular host on EWTN; priest, author and EWTN host Fr. Chris Alar, MIC; and Mother Mary Assumpta, O.P. Annie Karto and Matthew Baute sang and provided musical leadership for the liturgical and devotional events. Eric Genuis and his giften muscians perfomed a classical violin and cello concert of inspiration and healing along with his talk.

Marlene was accompanied by her husband and “handsome prince” Bill. Ralph and Charlene Sartori, long-time volunteers and residents of the St. Louis area, met Marlene and Bill in St. Louis and joined them at the conference. Marie Buchanan, a Lourdes Volunteer Head Nurse and her husband, Tom, flew to the conference from their home in Pennsylvania.

Marlene spoke about her many experiences – and the experiences of others – over the years and the many graces received in Lourdes, and was on hand to sign copies of her best-selling book.

The conference provided an exceptional opportunity to evangelize and spread the Gospel Message of Lourdes, and Marlene was able to re-connect with a number of old friends and make many more new friends because “We love it when Our Lady introduces us to her friends.” Ramona and Rolondo Rosales, conference organizers, put on a magnificent 25th anniversary event that was both spiritually uplifting and fulfilling.
