Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality North American Volunteers and the National Association of Catholic Nurses

The National Association of Catholic Nurses is meeting at Molloy University in Rockville Centre, NY on April 17, 2026. The keynote speaker is Sister Dede Byrne, who will speak on the topic of “Grace Under Pressure.”

Cassandra Annarumma, R.N. and Joan Mastrobattista, R.N., will be attending and representing Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality North American Volunteers (Lourdes Volunteers) at this meeting Cassandra and Joan are both experienced nurses and long-time members of our medical team. They have traveled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with Lourdes Volunteers on a number of occasions, accompanying and caring for the sick and suffering traveling with us. Cassandra and Joan will be setting up an information table at the Catholic Nurses meeting for anyone interested in joining Lourdes Volunteers on pilgrimage.

The National Association of Catholic Nurses empowers nurses to provide patients with a holistic care that honors the dignity of every human life. This is accomplished through speakers and seminars who encourage and educate the nurses on the importance of integrating their faith with accepted health principles and Catholic nursing ethics. The association promotes public policy and patient care standards that align with Gospel values and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. It provides a network of like-minded professionals who share a common Catholic nurse influence in the health care industry.
The association provides its members with a place to network with other nurses throughout the country and throughout the world.

We hope that many nurses will plan on attending the April 17 conference, including active and retired LPN’s and RN’s as well as Nursing Students. If you’re able to attend, please stop by the Lourdes Volunteers table and speak with Cassandra and Joan. Is Our Lady is calling you to join us on pilgrimage to accompany the sick and suffering to the Grotto in Lourdes?
