St. Antoine Volunteer Service Pilgrimage 2022

St. Antoine Volunteer Service Pilgrimage 2022

Service to the Sanctuary with the Hospitalité Notre Dame de Lourdes.

Founded in 1885, the Hospitalité Notre Dame de Lourdes, HNDL, is the association of volunteers worldwide who offer service to Our Blessed Mother and to the pilgrims that journey to the Grotto in Lourdes, France.

September 2-12, 2022- 10 days/9 nights – New York JFK Departure – $2,999.00

Why come with us?

It is our blessing to join pilgrims on their journey to Lourdes and to pray with them in the Grotto. Celebrating 20 years in service to the sick this July, we continue to accompany volunteer service pilgrimages to support Our Lady’s pilgrims when journeying to the Grotto. Our pilgrimages are accompanied by Catholic priests and leaders faithful to the Church. It is our privilege to assist volunteers in preparation, in travel and on a transformative life-changing journey to the Grotto bringing healing not only to those they serve but for themselves for many years to come.

Pilgrimage Highlights

  • Daily Mass, Grotto Mass and International Mass
  • Candlelight Rosary and Eucharistic Processions
  • Opportunities to receive the Sacraments, including Anointing of the Sick and Reconciliation
  • Visit to the Piscines (Baths) – the Baths are open limited hours, but immersion into the tub is not available at this time. Families can enter together, remain clothed, and experience the “Gesture of Water” in guided prayer, similar to Bernadette during the 9th apparition with Lourdes Water poured over the hands for personal use
  • Tours of the Sanctuary and town of Lourdes
  • Serve alongside volunteers from all over the world, forming unspoken bonds of friendship

Experience Our Lady’s Love in Lourdes

NEW for 2022! All first-year volunteers will have a Year of Discovery to experience all the services: St Joseph, Notre Dame, St. Frai, and St. Jean Baptiste. Men and women together, will be assigned to a team, an equipe, to serve under the direction of a team leader, chef d’equipe. This will give all new volunteers a broader look at what the options are for HNDL service. In the 2nd year, they will decide where to serve.

Volunteers must be capable and in good health between the ages of 18-75 and willing to serve six consecutive days after two-half days of Formation and training. Volunteer assignments depend on the needs of the Sanctuary and suitability of volunteers. This international team of 8,000 lay volunteers includes prayerful service in the following ways:

St. Joseph Service for Men

Welcome pilgrims at the train station and airport, assist at Baths, Sanctuary Processions and International Mass.

St. Jean Baptiste Service for Women

Prayerfully assist women with the “Gesture of the Water” to encounter the spring water of the Grotto.

Accueils Notre-Dame and Marie St. Frai Service for Women

Housekeeping and service in the kitchen.
