College and University Service Pilgrimages
We welcome colleges and universities to serve at Lourdes with us in service to the Sanctuaries with the Hospitalité Notre-Dame de Lourdes or in service to special needs pilgrims with North American Lourdes Volunteers in June and October.
Young adult and student groups bring a special joy to our pilgrimage family.
Spring and Fall 2017 Franciscan University Lourdes Mission Trip, Lourdes France:
$699 (program + accommodations with meals) Students are encouraged to fundraise before departing U.S.
The Grotto in Lourdes is a place of prayer, peace and love, since the Mother of God appeared there to St. Bernadette 18 times in 1858. More than 4 million pilgrims from around the world journey to this most visited Marian Shrine, coming to this holy place known for cures, healings and conversions.
Spring: Students serve Hospitalité Notre-Dame de Lourdes, an international team of volunteers offering assistance at the train station, baths, and ceremonies in the Sanctuary. Volunteers provide their hands in service to the sick/disabled pilgrims in need, who could not come to Lourdes without their help. Training and formation provided. North American Volunteers provides orientation, registration, leader and chaplain, accommodations and meals, support throughout. You travel by train to France, we meet you in Paris to escort you to Lourdes via train. Bon Voyage! Bonne Service!
Fall: Students serve North American Volunteers special needs pilgrims, providing transportation (wheelchair assistance), dining room (meal service), housekeeping (clean and disinfect) and hospitality. Nursing and pre-med students serve with our medical team to provide supportive care and activities of daily living. Student volunteers make it possible for the sick/disabled to travel from the United States seeking the healing graces of Our Lady of Lourdes. Training and formation provided. You travel by train to France, we meet you in Paris to escort you to Lourdes via train. Bon Voyage! Bonne Service!
