Learn more about when and how we make Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Bernadette said she felt a mysterious pull to go to the Grotto.  If you are feeling an “inexplicable pull” to go to Lourdes, surely Our Lady has placed this most beautiful desire in your heart.  By making pilgrimage with Our Lady of Lourdes North American Volunteers, you are opening yourself up to grow in holiness and be transformed by the loving example of St. Bernadette in simplicity, humility and obedience.

2019 Pilgrimage Schedule

Between April and October each year, we bring groups of all ages to experience Our Lady’s love in Lourdes. Explore our schedule for a complete list of dates and prices to find the pilgrimage that is right for you. 

 Special Needs Pilgrimage

In June and October each year, we bring the sick to Lourdes, accompanied by teams of medical, adult and youth volunteers. They make pilgrimage as one family, lovingly attending to one another’s needs.

 Hospitalité Pilgrimage

Multiple times each year, we bring volunteers to Lourdes to serve the Hospitalité Notre-Dame de Lourdes, the Association of volunteers worldwide that sustains the Sanctuary in Lourdes.

Next Steps

Placement

Following receipt and review of your application, you will be contacted by a member of our team by phone or email to discuss pilgrimage opportunities and to determine appropriate placement.

 

 

Registration

Once you have been placed on a specific pilgrimage, our office will send you a registration packet including the details of your pilgrimage: pilgrimage and flight itineraries, payment schedule and other requirements.

To complete your reservation with the pilgrimage group, you must return the completed registration form with $1000 non-refundable deposit, plus insurance premium, to our office.

 

Insurance

Travel/medical insurance is required for all participants. Your Travel Guard premium is paid with your deposit at the time of your pilgrimage reservation. The premium is based on many factors, including trip cost, age and state. See Travel Guard description of coverage and rates from this brief overview

 

Final Payment

Final Payment is due no later than 90 days prior to your scheduled departure.
